Event Promotion

We can promote events in any or all of these places:
- Google Calendar event for website. Anyone with a Google Workspace account can edit these calendars. If you need one, ask the @workspace-admins group in Slack.
- “Tool Library Events” calendar for public-facing events
- “Planning Meetings” calendar for organizational events (still open to the public, but on a separate calendar so only folks that want to see them will)
- Meetup event
- Facebook event
- Instagram post
- Physical signage (on bulletin board out front and on chalkboard inside)
- Physical flyers

Event hosts should confirm/provide the following details:
- Event date and time
- If hosting within the tool library, consider a time outside of regular shifts if power tools and other activity could distract.
- Materials or prerequisite skills needed, if any
- Max number of participants they can support
- Any suggested details or wording they’d like to include in the event description (giving attendees a sense of what to expect)
- Event date and time

Photos from past events can be found in Google Drive or stock photos can be found on websites like Unsplash. Ideally, any photography featuring people would be inclusive of diverse genders and skin tones.
