State Business Tax & Licence

In addition to our business licence with the CCFS, we also have a business license with the WA Department of Revenue (DOR) which allows us to sell goods. We must charge sales tax on any goods (such as t-shirts) sold and remit the tax to the DOR at the end of the year. Note that we need to file an annual return even if we don’t sell any taxable goods.

To Access DOR

• Create an account with DOR, and sign into it.
• Under “File and Pay Taxes”, click “Access Your Account Using a Letter ID”.
• Retrieve our letter ID from our tax registration documentation here.

Once you add Sustainable Capitol Hill with the letter ID, you should be able to access filing and business licenses.
